2.Why did we choose a sand dredging pump?
A customer in Hebei previously purchased a set of sand dredging pumps. This marine sand pumping unit was manufactured by Taian Ocean Pump Industry Co., Ltd. The customer used the sand dredging pump for river sand extraction. The dredging pump has been running stably for more than one year, with an output of 200m3/h and a conveying distance of 1500m. The customer quickly recovered the cost and obtained an ideal profit.
On June 16, 2018, the customer proposed a new procurement plan. The river channel conveying distance of the winning bid this time is longer, up to 4000m. The dredging pump model on the dredging ship is still 350PNS-35 marine sand suction pump. However, considering the operation and labor costs, the customer only needs one relay pump to complete the 4000m conveying distance.
3.Selection of sand pump
After the technical team of Taian Ocean Pump Industry Co., Ltd. conducted a field investigation, it was learned that the sand source of the sand pump is fine sand, and the customer uses 377mm wear-resistant PE pipe. According to the resistance loss formula, our technical team concluded that the pipe resistance is 81.5m and the head of the marine sand pump is 35m, so the head of the relay pump is not less than 46.5m.
The theoretical flow rate of the first sand pump is 1800m3/h. Considering the actual working conditions, our technical team takes 1500m3/h as the standard. The head should be greater than or equal to 46.5m. The relay pump runs stably, is energy-saving and environmentally friendly, and is easy to operate. Therefore, the engineers of Ocean Pump Industry chose a high-lift sand pump. According to the parameters, the ZJ300-80 high-lift sand pump was selected.
After the sand pump model is determined, according to the shaft power calculation, our engineers recommend that customers choose an 8-pole 280KW motor.
