Description
Main Applications
Submersible Axial Flow Pump are widely used in municipal drainage, industrial and agricultural water transfer, industrial and mining docks, urban water supply, mild sewage discharge, and water transfer projects.
Operating Conditions
- Suitable for conveying running water or mild sewage with a medium density ≤3×10³ kg/m³.
- The temperature of the conveyed medium should not exceed 40°
- The pH value of the conveyed medium ranges from 4 to 10.
- The interval between two startups should be no less than 10 minutes. For motors above 90kW, the interval should be no less than 20 minutes.
For high-power high-voltage motors, repeated startups can cause excessive heating and stress, drastically shortening the life of the stator windings. Therefore, the interval between successive startups should be extended as much as possible. When the motor is cold, two consecutive startups are allowed, followed by a mandatory cool-down period (generally 4 hours) before another startup can be attempted; one startup is allowed in the hot state.
System Description
The QZ(H) series consists of three main parts: submersible motor pump, control equipment, and installation accessories. Viewing from the motor end, the impeller rotates clockwise.
- Submersible Motor Pump: Comprises a submersible motor and pump section (see Figure 1 on Page 3). The pump section and motor share the same axis, utilizing double or triple anti-leakage mechanical seals for durability. Double sealing at the cable entry point prevents water ingress.
The submersible motor features a dry structure, employing VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) technology, with an IP68 protection rating, F-class insulation, and a temperature resistance of 155°C.
The pump section includes components such as the diffuser, impeller assembly, and suction bell. For semi-adjustable submersible axial flow pumps, when operating conditions need to be changed, first remove the locking screw, then loosen the nut and clamping piece, rotate the blades to align their reference line with a desired angle line on the hub, and finally install the locating pin and tighten the nut to adjust the flow rate (all blades should be set at the same angle).
Generally, upon delivery, the pump has been adjusted to a specific angle based on user requirements.
According to user needs, the submersible motor pump is equipped with protective functions such as oil chamber leakage alarm, motor winding overheat protection, motor cavity leakage alarm, junction box leakage, and bearing overtemperature.
- Control Equipment: Used for starting, stopping, and monitoring the operation of the submersible motor pump. Depending on user requirements, it may include control cabinets, terminal boxes, or liquid level controllers, and is equipped with protective functions such as overload, phase loss, short circuit, water leakage, motor winding overtemperature, and bearing overtemperature. Refer to the accompanying manual of the control equipment for details.
- Installation Accessories: These facilitate easier and quicker installation and maintenance of the pump. The specific structure of installation accessories varies based on user requirements. Common forms are shown in Figure 13 (Page 10).
Structural Description
Submersible Pump Section
As shown in the figures, the QZ(H) series submersible pumps feature innovative overall structure and hydraulic model design, incorporating multiple advanced technologies: a unique cable sealing design with double protection eliminates the risk of cable water ingress; optimal cooling by directly flowing medium through the motor housing ensures long-term effective operation of high-power motors under harsh conditions; a unique hydraulic model design and adjustable-angle blades ensure safe and efficient pump operation under different conditions; high-precision anti-leakage mechanical seals provide the best sealing effect with minimal mechanical loss; equipped with intelligent burn-free protectors for comprehensive monitoring and control of pump operating status, providing burn-free protection against overheating caused by various faults.
The QZ type submersible axial flow pump has a vertical structure (see Figure 1 for its structural diagram), while the QH type submersible mixed flow pump also has a vertical structure (see Figure 2 for its structural diagram).
