4. How did Taian Ocean pump choose a 4-inch gravel pump for Kunming customers?
On March 5, 2019, a customer from Kunming, Yunnan contacted the sales department of Ocean Pump Industry with the following requirements:
The customer needs a 4-inch tin-iron gravel sand pump with a sand pumping capacity of about 20 cubic meters per hour, hoping to improve the sand pumping capacity and quality. It should be noted that there are more pebbles and less sediment in the river channel where sand is pumped.
There is a boat on site, and the 4-inch pipeline has been installed, but there is no electricity. The sand pumping distance is within 10 meters, the total distance does not exceed 100 meters, and there is no obvious elevation change.
At the selection meeting, Ocean Pump Industry’s selection engineer proposed two ratio schemes: a high-chromium alloy 4-inch gravel sand pump and a 6-in 4-out ZS150 large-particle sand pump. After careful consideration, the customer chose the ZS model. The large-particle sand pump solution is more durable and has a more stable output.
After the selection, Ocean Pump Industry signed a contract with the customer. After receiving the customer’s advance payment, the Ocean Pump Industry assembly workshop assembled a 4-inch sand pump and a 44kW diesel engine on site.
