From September 9 to 12, 2026, the 24th International Mining & Mineral Recovery Exhibition (Mining Indonesia 2026) will be held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo). As Southeast Asia’s largest and most influential international mining equipment exhibition, this year’s event is expected to bring together over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and attract over 35,000 professional visitors. Running concurrently with other major industry events in construction machinery, concrete, oil & gas, and water treatment, Mining Indonesia 2026 forms the region’s largest industrial gathering in the energy and engineering sector.
About Ocean Pump
Tai’an Ocean Pump Co., Ltd. (Ocean Pump) was established in 2012 as a manufacturing enterprise focused on the R&D, production, and system supply of dredging and mining fluid conveying equipment. The company owns a 15,000 m² production facility and an R&D team of 30 full-time technical engineers, covering mechanical design, fluid dynamics, and hydraulic/electrical control. Our product portfolio includes over 20 series and more than 500 specifications, encompassing sand pumps, suction pumps, dredging pumps, submersible slurry pumps, slurry pumps, dredge pumps, and complete customised systems such as jet‑type dredgers, cutter‑suction dredgers, submersible dredge pump vessels, and mine dewatering units.
Core Strengths & Certifications
-
Technical Expertise: We collaborate with the Ship Design Institute of Wuhan University of Technology on R&D projects for sea sand extraction, transport, and reclamation vessel combinations. We also engage a professor from Shandong University as our technical advisor, forming a three‑tier R&D structure: academic guidance from university experts, hands‑on project management by senior industry engineers, and internal innovation by our own R&D team.
-
Quality Control: Our production management follows ISO quality management system standards, and we implement 6S on‑site management in our workshops. Every complete pump undergoes a full hydraulic performance bench test before delivery, with all operating parameters verified individually.
-
Strategic Partnerships: We have established long‑term strategic cooperation with leading brands such as Weichai Power, Cummins, Yuchai Power, Siemens, ABB, and Huali Electric, ensuring genuine original spare parts are used wherever possible.
-
Global Reach: Our products have been exported to more than 30 countries and regions across South America, Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. We have accumulated extensive experience in overseas project implementation, cross‑border logistics, and on‑site technical services.
Typical Engineering Cases
Ocean Pump has successfully executed numerous dredging, mining, and fluid conveying projects both domestically and internationally, gaining rich practical experience.
1. Mine Dewatering Project in Myanmar (2026)
We custom‑designed 15 sets of 14‑inch SH‑series single‑stage double‑suction split‑case centrifugal pump units for an open‑pit mine client in Myanmar, for dewatering during the rainy season. The client operates multiple open‑pit mines, where heavy rainwater accumulates in the pits each year, blocking access roads and preventing heavy equipment like excavators and dump trucks from operating, severely impacting production. Our engineering team conducted detailed technical discussions and on‑site analysis to deliver a complete dewatering solution including pumps, piping systems, valves, and accessories.
2. River Sand Extraction Project in Fiji (2026)
We successfully completed the production, assembly, and factory testing of an 8‑inch large‑particle sand dredging vessel for a Fijian client. The riverbed contained coarse sand, large gravel, pebbles, and stones, which would easily clog conventional pumps. We recommended a customised 8‑inch dredge vessel equipped with a heavy‑duty abrasion‑resistant sand pump featuring a three‑vane impeller and large‑passage design, providing excellent solids handling capability. The power system was a Weichai 180 HP diesel engine, supplemented with a high‑pressure water jet system for loosening sand layers.
3. Tailings Processing Project in Indonesia (2018)
A local Indonesian mining company, previously using submersible sand pumps from the Japanese brand TOYO, visited our factory to discuss procurement after seeing the reliable performance of Ocean Pump products in the local market. We supplied them with submersible sand pumps cast entirely from 316L stainless steel, specifically designed for tailings handling.
4. Tailings Processing Project in Fuzhou, Jiangxi, China
A mining enterprise in Fuzhou, a long‑standing client of ours, needed three submersible sand suction pumps to expand production. The tailings, after grinding, had a particle size of about 200 mesh and a solids concentration of approximately 40%. Our technical department performed head‑loss calculations and selected the ZJQ100‑60‑45 submersible sand pump (flow 100 m³/h, head 60 m, motor power 45 kW) with a 150 mm discharge pipe. From solution confirmation to equipment delivery took only 7 days, and the results met the client’s requirements, prompting an immediate re‑order.
5. Mine Dewatering Project in Myanmar (2026)
(The same project as case 1; to avoid duplication, we can merge or note it. For clarity, we keep it as one project.)
6. Other Representative Projects
-
Tanzania: A 102‑member mining trade delegation visited Ocean Pump for business matchmaking.
-
Philippines: Custom‑designed an 8‑inch hydraulic cutter‑suction dredger for a local sand operator.
-
Colombia: Supplied submersible slurry pumps for sand suction at construction sites.
-
Malaysia: Provided abrasion‑resistant sand suction pumps for river sand extraction and long‑distance conveying.
-
Burundi: Supplied a 6‑inch sand dredging vessel for a government‑led river dredging project.
-
China Railway Construction Corporation: Long‑term procurement of Ocean Pump vertical sand pumps for tunnel dewatering.
Deepening Our Presence in the Indonesian Market and Supporting Green Mining Transformation
Indonesia is the world’s largest exporter of thermal coal and holds 23.6% of global nickel reserves, with its mining market accounting for 25% of the world total. As the Indonesian government promotes a “greener and smarter” transformation of the mining industry, demand for efficient, energy‑saving, and durable fluid conveying equipment continues to rise among mining companies. Ocean Pump has successfully delivered multiple projects in Indonesia, earning customer trust in tailings treatment, river sand extraction, and other applications. We look forward to engaging with our Indonesian and Southeast Asian peers at this exhibition to share the latest technologies and best practices in mining slurry transportation.
We sincerely invite you to visit our booth!
