1.What is submersible slurry?

- What are the hazards of reversing the submersible sand pump?
2.1. The maximum head of the submersible sand pump drops significantly, and the flow rate will become smaller at the same head;
2.2. The pump efficiency will drop, the maximum power of the water pump will increase significantly, and in severe cases, the motor will be overloaded and burnt;
2.3. The vibration and noise of the pump will increase, and the oil leakage will increase. In severe cases, the mechanical seal will fail and be scrapped;
2.4. The mud and sand in the pump casing are difficult to discharge, and will accumulate more and more. The impeller will wear and scrap quickly, and in severe cases, the pump will be blocked and the motor will be burned.
2.5. When the pump reverses, the front and rear guards of the impeller will wear, starting from the concave surface (back) of the impeller, which is faster than normal use.
2.6. If the bottom sand suction plate (mesh filter plate, used to intercept granular impurities such as stones) of the submersible sand pump is damaged, large particles of solids will be sucked into the pump casing, and the reverse impeller will be stuck, which will cause the impeller and the pump casing to be severely damaged.
Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to use the submersible sand pump in reverse. So how to judge whether the submersible sand pump is reversed? The method to judge the reversal is:
- Install a gate valve and a pressure gauge on the outlet pipe of the submersible sand pump. When the submersible sand pump is tested, the gate valve is closed, and the pump is turned on in forward and reverse directions respectively. The larger the pressure gauge value is, the forward direction is. , and record the pressure value for later judgment of whether it is reversed.
- If it is not convenient to install a pressure gauge on site, observe the outlet flow and test the outlet pressure by hand to judge whether it is reversed.
